Catching up to and surpassing fat friends

After about 2.5 weeks of my gaining challenge and about 10 pounds gained, I realize that if I decide to keep gaining after my 30 day challenge, I have a lot of work to do to catch up with and surpass some of my fat friends. Anyone have any experience going from one of the thin friends to being one of the fatter ones? What was it like and how'd you manage to pull it off?

As always, remember it's a marathon - not a sprint.

That said, I do have some experience with this. I have health issues and have been underweight for most of my life. I'm not the fat friend by any means. I weigh under 200 lbs and have friends over 300 and 400 lbs. But I now have a lot of friends who are much smaller than me.

Gotta say, it's a lot of fun teasing them about how much smaller than are than me in certain aspects.

It took me about 5 years to get to where I am now. Some of that was due to my body working against me or not being able to afford a lot of high-calorie food. The rest of it was from me taking gaining breaks to give my body a chance to catch up.

My friends never judged me for my weight gain. Since I was so skinny, they even celebrated it. My family, on the other hand, wasn't as enthused. I experienced a lot of fatphobia from them just for being on the low end of a healthy weight. Thankfully, I was able to establish boundaries, so that hasn't been an issue in years.

These days, I've got an athletically thick body type. I'm technically overweight, but I don't get hate for it since I have the "right body type" according to mainstream standards. I think the only problem I have to deal with is thigh rub.

If you’re always stuffed it could be food weight

A guy I work with recently lost a ton of weight he gives me a hard time for what I eat for lunch on days where we’re both around, saying stuff like I don’t eat that crap anymore etc etc and he’s tried to give me his diet that he’s lost all this weight on, and I’m like ☹️ but I’ve always been bigger than his heaviest at least as long as I’ve known him.

This friend I have is getting quite fat, looks massive in all his shirts I wanna say something cute like “be careful or you might end up like me” but I’m no sure about their body image etc
